Nikita Dembinski is a photographer and a musician with an interest in the theatrical arts and the relationships that can be developed between the three. Speculating on the genre of staged photography, his photographs become a pretext to applying the principles through which an emotional experience is created in music to image-making in order to silently provoke within the audience an aesthetical attitude. Overtly showing the inauthenticity of his subjects, Nikita’s interest for the medium’s sensuous qualities reflects his focus on complex phenomena such as intersubjectivity and synesthesia.
